Aker Solutions has secured a £180million deal with BP for its offshore operations in Norway.
The win is the latest chapter in Aker and BP’s 20 year working relationship in the country. The pair signed its first long-term framework contract in 1999.
The agreement will see Aker provide the engineering, modifications and maintenance services for the BP-operated Ula, Tambar, Hod, Skarv and Valhall fields.
“I’m very pleased that BP has chosen to continue working with us on the Norwegian continental shelf,” said Per Harald Kongelf, regional president for Aker Solutions in Norway.
“This is a testament to the quality of our deliveries and the strength of our partnership with BP in Norway.”
The contract scope includes studies, maintenance and modification project work as well as preparation work for decommissioning offshore Norway.
