Montrose Port Authority (MPA) said today it had filled the newly-created post of business development manager.
Andy Ross joins MPA from ASCO and is expected to spearhead the expansion plans at the Angus harbour, whose clients come from the oil and gas, renewables, and agriculture sectors.
Nik Scott-Gray, chief executive of MPA, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andy to this exciting new role at Montrose port.
“His experience and knowledge of the offshore energy and general cargo sectors will prove invaluable as we pursue our ongoing expansion plans.”
Mr Ross said: “Montrose port is strategically located as an important services and logistics hub for the North Sea and is well placed to further develop its diverse customer base.
“I am looking forward to the challenge of developing these new markets and ensure Montrose becomes the port of choice for a growing number of operators in the maritime sector.”
