Springfield is in conflict with Eni over this field. Springfield drilled the Afina discovery in November 2019.

Gray Whale 3 will be 60-70 km offshore the port of Ulsan. It is one part of a three phase development, which will have total capacity of 1.5 GW.
At FID, Total said it aimed to start commercial operations in 2027.
