The 2018 Gold Awards, in association with the Press and Journal, is shaping up to be another spectacular celebration of north-east businesses.
For the first time, the prestigious ceremony will reflect the depth and breadth of the energy industry – not just producers and the supply chain but also green-friendly firms in a variety of other sectors that are making their mark on growing Scotland’s reputation for renewables.
From wind farm to oil rig, brewery to solar grid, this year’s Gold Awards aim to recognise some of the people and companies pushing the technological frontier.
Back by demand are the apprentice award and the health and safety award. Other gongs include accolades for “above and beyond”, energy transition, product and sector innovation, renewables, industry leader, and small and large company of the year, as well as Hall of Fame induction and the Dr Mildred Dresselhaus Award.
Previous winners include industry heavyweights Professor Alex Kemp, Balmoral CEO Jimmy Milne and Sir Ian Wood who all took home a gong.
The closing date for entries has been extended to Wednesday May 23 and can be submitted at www.pandjgoldawards.com
The awards will be held at the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa, in Aberdeen, on Friday September 7.
