Aker Solutions has landed a £4.3million deal to provide a mooring system for a new offshore accommodation unit being built in China.
The unit, which will be operated by Logitel, is currently under construction at the Cosco Nantong shipyard.
The deal will see Aker providing winches, control cabins and systems, hydraulic power units and nine wire fairleads for the Pusnes system, with the option for a second unit.
“We are very pleased to be working with Cosco Nantong and to supply high quality Pusnes mooring systems to Logitel Offshore,” said Leif Haukom, head of Aker Solutions’ mooring and loading systems business.
“The contract confirms our position as a leading provider of high-end wire mooring equipment.”
The equipment will be delivered in May and October of next year.
