Aberdeen-based manufacturer Nexos has announced that its heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) team has secured £8 million in contracts since January.
This follows an announcement from earlier in the year that the firm had expanded its HVAC team headcount by over 50% following success in 2024.
The team expanded from eight employees to 20 as it reported that revenues had doubled in the past two years.
The firm said that the £8m in work came from “services for major operators across the UK continental shelf”. The firm has secured work across both onshore and offshore assets.
“These contract wins are a strong endorsement of our technical capabilities and the confidence our customers place in our HVAC team and build on a growing pipeline of long-term service agreements,” said Lee Youngson, operations manager for Nexos.
Late last year, Nexos secured a contract with North Sea operator EnQuest to provide HVAC services for the Thistle and Magnus platforms.
Under the deal, Nexos took over responsibility for core crew HVAC roles, and the firm said the project would “bolster its capability to deliver critical services across complex energy environments”.
On his team’s recent success, Youngson added: “In an increasingly cost-conscious and performance-driven market, we remain focused on providing agile, smart ways of working to optimise labour and maximise efficiency”.
Nexos employs more than 1,500 people and works across more than 33 offshore assets in the UK.
Youngson previously explained that the new employees brought into the HVAC team demonstrated “exceptional talent” and that the expansion in headcount had “made a significant impact, adding value to our operations and strengthening our capabilities.”
In 2024, Nexos rebranded from its previous moniker of Global E&C.
