This image shows modules from the Murchison platform being offloaded in Norway.
It was taken by senior project decommissioning engineer at AF, Torstein Landaas, in Vats in Rogaland Country.
Posting the image the oil worker said: “Amazing, Thialf is offloading Murchison modules in Vats, Norway.”
It came after a total of 38 years, 9,350 flights and 350,000 passenger history flying out to the platform.
Plans to decommission the Murchison field in the North Sea were initiated in 2009.
The field was discovered by ConocoPhillips in 1975, producing its first oil in 1980.
CNRI became the operator in 2002 with Wintershall as its partner.
