Global subsea equipment specialist Ashtead Technology said yesterday it has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Brett Lestrange as UK regional director.
Mr Lestrange, who boasts more than 25 years’ experience in the subsea industry, will lead Ashtead’s UK sales and technical team.
He joins Ashtead, based in Westhill, near Aberdeen, from subsea manufacturing company HCS Control Systems, where he was chief executive.
Before that he was a founding partner of Frontrow Energy Partners and also held a number of senior and technical positions at Expro Group, including head of subsea.
Now based in Westhill, he is originally from Syndey, Australia, and began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1992 when he joined Woodside Offshore Petroleum as a graduate engineer.
Ashtead chief executive Allan Pirie said: “Brett’s appointment strengthens the team as the business continues to expand its service offering to support our customers’ ever more complex challenges. Brett brings a wealth of engineering expertise and a proven track-record in delivering customer focused, cost-effective solutions.”
Mr Lestrange added: “The company is well-positioned to build on its heritage, with innovative thinking, cutting-edge technology and services. I am pleased to be joining such an experienced and knowledgeable team.”
