E-FWD Momentum Mornings: Liverpool
Attendees were treated to a fireside chat between E-FWD’s Sepi Golzari-Munro and Guy Newey, the chief executive of the Energy Systems Catapult .
The two discussed the impact of digital innovation on the energy sector, and the opportunities that carbon capture and storage (CCS) will bring to the North West region .
Following this, E-FWD members gained insights from leading voices in CCS and hydrogen in a panel discussion hosted by E-FWD editor Ed Reed.
The panellists included EET Hydrogen chief executive Joe Seifert, Spirit Energy chief executive Neil McCulloch, Pinsent Masons partner Stacey Collins and EnergyPathways chairman Mark Steeves.
The morning finished with an interactive question and answer discussion session hosted by Progressive Energy ‘s HyNet project director David Parkin.
The E-FWD Momentum Mornings series next turns its attention to the east coast when industry leaders gather in Hull on 9 October.
The Humber region is a focal point for the UK’s energy transition, with significant investments across offshore wind, hydrogen and CCS.
Major projects in development include Harbour Energy’s Viking CCS and the Humber H2ub , among a host of offshore wind developments from Ørsted, RWE and Siemens Gamesa .
Be sure to join E-FWD to keep up to date with the latest happenings across the UK energy transition.
