Firm is one step away from capping Oklahoma gas blowout

Oklahoma exploration and production Devon Energy is one step away from capping a blowout at a natural gas well that has prompted authorities to seal off thousands of acres of land near the Eagle Ford Shale towns of Yorktown and Nordheim.


Sanchez provides third quarter update

Sanchez Production Partners, the Houston based operation, has reported revenue of $13.3 million in the third quarter 2015, which includes $7.9 million of sales revenue, approximately 62% of which was from oil and liquids sales and 38% of which was from natural gas sales.

Sanchez Energy sells assets in $345million deal

Sanchez Energy will sell off a number of assets in the US in a $345million deal. The deal will see Sanchez Production Partners acquire and operate certain pipeline, gathering and compression assets located in the Western part of its Catarina asset in the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas. The proceeds from the Western Catarina Divestiture will be used to further enhance Sanchez’s Energy’s liquidity position which is expected to enable the company to pursue growth opportunities through asset acquisitions.

Wood Group completes work on Eagle Ford modification

Wood Group has provided engineering, procurement and other services to Flint Hills Resources for its Eagle Ford modification at its West refinery in Texas. The project will enable the refinery to process 100% US crude – primarily from the Eagle Ford region – into transportation fuels. The work was successfully completed by Wood Group Mustang (WGM) who completed the conceptual and front-end engineering design phases of the project.

Goodrich Petroleum sells off stake in Eagle Ford shale play

Goodrich Petroleum has signed an agreement to sell its reserves and leasehold in the Eagle Ford shale for $118million. The move will see the company retain 58% of its undeveloped leasehold in the play for future development and sale. The asset which is being sold produced an average of around 2,850barrels of oil equivalent per day during the first quarter of 2015.
