Shell’s board door revolves once


Gerrit Zalm has been appointed a non-executive director at Royal Dutch Shell (aka Shell) with immediate effect. He is chairman of the board of management of ABN Amro Bank NV, a position he has held since February 2009 and which he hopes to keep pending a vote at the bank's agm in May.

Durrant joins board

Greenergy has appointed Tony Durrant, finance director of Premier Oil since 2005, to its board as a non-executive director. He will chair the Greenergy audit and risk committee. The firm describes itself as a leading national provider of road fuel.

Townshend joins TNK-BP board

BP has appointed Michael Townshend as a non-executive director of TNK-BP with immediate effect. He will continue as president of BP in Iraq, overseeing the expansion of the Rumaila field. He replaces Tony Hayward on the TNK-BP board.

The vice-chairman of financial service firm JPMorgan's global energy group will become a non-executive director of Wood Group on August 1. Jeremy Wilson will also join the board's nomination committee.
