Eni Norge awards Apply Sørco a framework agreement for maintenance and modifications linked to the Goliat field in the Barents Sea.
The contract has an expected value of about NOK 1 billion (roughly USD 176.37 million) and has a maximum duration of seven years including options for two, two- year extensions. More than 100 persons will probably be employed under the contract at any given time.
The contract involves expansion of Apply’s business in northern areas and will be headed from Hammerfest. A new office building in Hammerfest is under planning in connection with this, the company said in a press release.
“This is a major milestone for us in relation to our further northern areas prioritisation, and very gratifying that we have succeed together with our partners in the north,” said Apply Sørco managing director Frederik Hvistendahl. He added that he looks forward to the cooperation with Eni and building the organisation in Hammerfest.
Apply was also recently awarded the FPSO contract (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) for offshore operation and maintenance support for the Goliat platform.
Approximately 150 people will be employed under both contracts when the facility comes into normal operation.
