An industry leader who has taken their firm through digital transformation is being sought to entre this year’s prestigious oil and gas awards.

The Press and Journal’s Gold Awards will again present the Industry Leader Award to someone who is “an outstanding energy leader, who deserves to be recognised for their appetite for continued learning, mentoring and influence”.

There is no age restraint on this award, which is sponsored by Scottish Enterprise, however the winning candidate will have a successful track record of leading within the sector, empowering people and being a sound ambassador and example of energy’s reputation.

The annual awards ceremony, which will be held at the Chester Hotel on Friday September 6, will also recognise industry heavyweights in its Hall of Fame category.

This award, sponsored by Aberdeen Standard Investments, is for the men and women who have shaped this sector, continually forging ahead on a local and global scale.

Martin Gilbert, vice-chairman, Aberdeen Standard Investments, said: “Aberdeen Standard Investments is delighted to support the Hall of Fame Award at the P&J Gold Awards.

“The awards continue to showcase the ongoing success of the energy industry and the outstanding efforts of individuals and companies alike.”
