DISTRIBUTOR of lifting and safety equipment Certex UK is launching a range of slings produced at its new manufacturing operation at Montrose.
Certex said the Quic-Slings were the first fully conforming wire-rope slings on the market to comply with the latest European standard EN 13414-1.
The company said the Montrose plant had been set up to enhance Certex’s range of services to the offshore market.
Regional business manager Davy Young said: “We have worked hard to recruit the services of very experienced local personnel, who have been making wire-rope sling assemblies in the area for many years.”
The company, which has 140 employees, has its headquarters in Nottinghamshire, backed up by regional centres including one in Aberdeen.
