Aberdeen heavy oil explorer Xcite Energy posted yesterday losses of £300,000 in the six months to the end of June, the same as in the same period last year.
The firm is developing its 100%-owned Bentley field, about 100 miles east of Shetland, which is thought to have 150million recoverable barrels of oil.
Shares closed yesterday at 73p, down 2p.
