Dolphin Drilling has been given a provisional deal for the use of its semi-submersible accommodation unit Borgholm Dolphin in the UK North Sea.
The vessel would be on a 12-month contract worth about £55million.
Dolphin Drilling is a UK-based subsidiary of Norwegian group Fred Olsen.
It was not disclosed who the unit would be on hire to or whereabouts in the UK sector.
