ITC Hydraulics has launched a new rental division, investing more than £200,000 to get it up and running.
The firm, which deigns, manufactures, services and refurbishes a range of specialist equipment for clients including Subsea 7, Aker Solutions and Oceaneering, said it was seeing increased demand for rentals.
It previously sub-contracted rental work but is now taking it all in-house.
Managing director Ian Clark said: “It’s exciting that things have finally come to fruition.
“Previously, we weren’t in a position to deal with various rental requests solely on our own and we were relying on outsourcing certain jobs as and when they came in.
“Now, using a mix of purchased assets and purpose-built equipment by our specialist team, we’ve established a range of hydraulic products that will be available for both short term and long term rent.”
He added: “The core ITC service will remain the design, manufacture and service of all types of hydraulic equipment but we believe the rental aspect will be a welcome addition to our service offering. It will allow us to be better-placed to meet the varying needs of both our existing and future clients.”
ITC, which over the past two years has seen its turnover double to £1.59million, has its headquarters in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.
