Oil major BP has booked a Dolphin Drilling rig for a UK North Sea job for just under £6million.
Dolphin, a subsidiary of Fred. Olsen Energy, said the semi-submersible drilling rig Blackford Dolphin would be on charter with BP from May.
The contract is expected to last around 60 days and is worth £5.9million.
The agreement is for the drilling of one well with options for a further four included.
