TECHNIP, with 50:50 joint-venture partner DOF Subsea, is to provide Petrobras with a new pipelay vessel under a four-year charter.
The contract is worth about $250million.
The company said the vessel would be employed to lay and retrieve pipelines off Brazil in waters as deep as 2,000m. The vessel is now under construction at the Aker Promar Yard in Rio de Janeiro.
