Spanish utility Iberdrola has completed the geophysical studies for the proposed 400MW offshore windfarm due to be built in the Baltic Sea.
The 20million euros studies comprised a full geological survey of the seabed in an area of some 34sq.km and are a key part of getting approval by regulator Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH).
The cost of the project is estimated at 1.5billion euros and is to be located 35km off the German Island of Rugen.
