Russia-focused exploration firm Urals Energy says it will now look at results after a two-part seismic study into the island of Koguev was carried out.
GeoDynamics performed the scans for Articneft, although melting snow made conditions for conducting the scans of the island, in the Barents Sea, difficult.
Results from the survey are due in by early September, which will allow the companies to determine where potential hydrocarbon finds can be made.
“Whilst the conditions were challenging, we are pleased that the survey conducted by Geodynamics has now been completed successfully at Articneft and once we are in receipt of the full data we will make a further update to the market,” said Urals chief executive Alexei Maximov.
“At Petrosakh, the drilling programme continues to proceed according to plan, further information will be released once drilling is finished and actual flow rate has been confirmed.”
