Subsea 7 has landed a $70million contract to develop the Cardona field in the Gulf of Mexico.
The deal will see the company carrying out engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of flowlines, pipelines and risers for the Stone Energy-operated field.
The Louisiana-based exploration firm is looking to tie back wells on the Cardona field to the Pompano platform by the end of next year, with around 230million cubic feet of gas equivalent per day expected from the field.
Offshore work by Subsea 7 on the field is due to start next year, woth work being managed from Houston and carried out at the Port Isabel spoolbase.
“We are pleased to be awarded this contract and look forward to working collaboratively with Stone Energy,” said Subsea 7 vice president Ian Cobban.
“This is an important project for both Stone Energy and Subsea 7, and we look forward to delivering the project in a safe and timely manner, and to building a strong relationship.”
