Norwegian authorities have given Shell the green light to use the Island Constructor for the start-up of a well on the Draugen field.
The Petroleum Safety Authority said start-up was planned for either next month or September.
Draugen, in the Norwegian Sea, was developed using a fixed concrete facility with an integrated deck.
Island Constructor is a ship designed for well intervention and is operated by Island Offshore Management AS.
