Six contracts have been awarded to five shipowners worth a total estimated value of over £210 million by Norwegian energy group Equinor (OSLO:EQNR).
Oilfield service giant TechnipFMC has agreed to buy a 51% stake in Norwegian firm Island Offshore’s subsea subsidiary.
Norwegian authorities have given Shell the green light to use the Island Constructor for the start-up of a well on the Draugen field.
Island Offshore said it has made up to 330 job losses from the company.
Island Offshore has won a two-year contract with ASCO for work on the UKCS.
Norwegian shipping company Island Offshore has confirmed that its Island Constructor has been awarded a contract by BP in UK waters. The Constructor will deliver light well intervention services in July with options to run into August, the company said.
