Seabird picked for survey off Namibia

Global Petroleum has struck a deal with Seabird Exploration to buy 834-kilometres worth of 2D seismic data covering a Namibian licence. The survey will provide London and Brisbane-based Global Petroleum with more detail on the Gemsbok prospect. The survey will start late June or early July and take about two weeks to complete.

SeaBird stacks vessel after contract ends

SeaBird Exploration will stack the Munin Explorer vessel following completion of its long-term charter contract with SeaBed Geosolutions this month. Last year the company announced it had been awarded a contract extension for its Munin Explorer worth an estimated $4million.

SeaBird Exploration has received a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with a company to acquire up to 45,000km of 2D seismic data in North and South America. The agreement is worth an estimated $30million.

Seabird scoops third contract win

SeaBird Exploration has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company to acquire up to 300,000km of 2D seismic data in Mexico and the US Atlantic. The company said the LOA will provide TGS access to up to six seismic vessels from SeaBird over a period of 36 months.
