The facility will process 150,000 barrels per day of condensate, producing 2.3 million tonnes per year pf aromatics. It will produce 50,000 tpy of hydrogen.
The project is QE’s “largest investment ever in Qatar’s petrochemicals sector and the first direct investment in 12 years”, Al-Kaabi said.
Borouge has signed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for its new plant, which it is working on with Adnoc.
