APR invests in Myanmar power plant upgrade

US "fast track" power firm APR Energy has commissioned a 20 megawatt (MW) expansion of its generation plant in Myanmar. The Jacksonville, Florida-based company said the investment would provide the Myanmar Electric Power Enterprise with a guaranteed minimum of 102MW of power generation.

APR Energy extend Iraqi power generation contract

APR Energy has signed a contract renewal for its power generation contract in Iraq. The agreement will take the term through the end of 2015. The power plant has been in operation since 2012 and comprises six GE TM2500 mobile gas turbines capable of generating more than 1200MW of electricity.
