Maersk Oil profit sank 86% last quarter as energy prices plunge


A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S, Denmark’s biggest company, said profit at its oil unit dropped 86 percent in the third-quarter as energy prices fell. Maersk Oil’s net operating income after tax for the three months through September was $32 million, down from $222 million in the same period a year earlier, the Copenhagen-based company said in a statement on Friday.

TWMA to create new jobs after Maersk Oil contract wins


TWMA has been awarded two contract with Maersk Oil in the UK including on the Culzean development. The waste management and environmental services firm also involve continuation of provision of innovative technology across Maersk’s North Sea operations. The new work will also help create up to 20 new jobs.

Viking SeaTech wins Maersk Oil contract


Viking SeaTech has won a long-term contract with the UK business of Maersk Oil. The deal is the first time the specialist marine services provider has struck an agreement with the company. Viking SeaTech will supply rig move equipment and storage services for a fixed period of three years with the option for multiple extensions.
