BP hit with Skarv FPSO improvement notice


Oil major BP has been issued with a notice from Norway’s safety body for violations related to operational risk on its Skarv FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel). The PSA (Petroleum Safety Authority) said non-conformities were identified in connection with risk management, fire water in the event of gas detection and man-machine interfaces.

PSA finds regulatory violations on Goliat FPSO


The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has found a number of regulatory violations on board the newbuild production unit for the Goliat field development. The safety body made the findings after an audit of electrical installations on the unit for the project run by Eni in the Barents Sea.

Statoil hit with improvement notice by PSA


Statoil has been criticised by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) over a number of maintenance failings at a North Sea field. The body said a number of non-conformities were found in connection with maintenance of offshore cranes, wire ropes and training of emergency preparedness personnel.
